"I am in the process of relocating from Phoenix to the Detroit area. A local realtor referred me to Matt, in order to quickly expedite the mortgage pre-approval process. I thought to myself, well this is great! A super nice and thoughtful realtor referring me to possibly another thoughtful and professional individual. This couldn't be further from the truth. While conversing with Matt over the phone, he had a snide attitude. I provided him with a little background, including where I work, which is for a competing mortgage lender. He then asked me , in a rather irreverent manner, why I wouldn't just do a mortgage with my employer. Like I had possibly something to hide from him. Pure choice, Matt. I simply don't want my employer involved in my personal financial business. The rest of the conversation felt very uncomfortable. I got the vibe like I was wasting his time, even though I am a credit worthy consumer and most importantly, an overall good person.
